Do I need to bring my own shots or discs?

Frequently Asked Questions

We strongly encourage athletes to bring their own shots and discs if they have them. We will have shots and discs available to use at every session. However, it is best for athletes to use the implements they normally throw in practice and competition.

Should I wear throwing shoes?

Yes, yes, yes! It is imperative that athletes wear throwing shoes during sessions. We will require all athletes to acquire throwing shoes by at least their second or third session. Throwing shoes facilitate moving through drills and throws, especially for the rotational technique. They also reduce injury risk in the ring, thus leading to better results.

Can I film my athlete(s) during sessions?

Absolutely! We encourage parents and coaches to film their athletes during sessions. Occasionally we will film some throws in the session so that athletes can see their throw in real time. We also strongly encourage athletes to film throws at their own practices to improve learning.
